ANGELICA MADEIRA HAND-EMBROIDERED CHRISTENING GOWNS
This unique heirloom-quality Christening Gown from George Henry Ltd. is made of the finest Italian linen and Swiss organdy. The Angelica Gown features Madeira hand embroidery.
The exquisite embroidery is the traditional handiwork of the island women of Madeira, Portugal. The front panel of the gown is an intricate combination of shadow and top-stitch hand embroidery over sheer Swiss organdy. Hand embroidered scalloped edging on each side of the panel and on the organdy ruffle complement the stand up collar and short sleeves. The side panels are left unadorned so that the name of the christened child can be added by each new generation.
