I’m a nessa but from a celtic cornish origin. In Cornish language the name translates into English as second or next. I wonder if the Irish Nessa means the same thing. Cornish has Kensa meaning first, Nessa meaning second,Tressa meaning third and Peswara meaning forth. An Irishman once asked me if my name was like the Irish Neasa but i know the two languages differ given Cornish is more like Welsh or Breton. The good thing about being called Nessa is everyone can pronounce it but the annoying thing is that when out of Cornwall people may call me Vanessa or something else.
